Juliette Berthonneau and Victor Guerithault have teamed up to create a series of pleated kites. Aming to create ever lighter and more durable flying shapes, they use a ripstop woven structure that is tear-resistant, thin and transparent.
They designed a sail whose reinforcement consists solely of pleats, without the addition of any components to stiften it. The result of both technical and sculptural research, the pleated fabric remains flexible. Due to its intrinsic characteristics, it modulates and adapts to the elements. The "sun kite" flies and unfolds its surface, adapting to the strength of the wind.
